About Us

Mission

Our mission is to express God’s truth and love in Jesus Christ to hurting people by helping them to develop personal wholeness, relational competence, and spiritual vitality.

Objective

We provide licensed, professional counseling and educational resources to help heal and bring people together within our community, congregations, schools and businesses.

While we are the leading area provider of services to assist individuals and families struggling with compulsive sexual issues and addiction, we provide a range of other services. We offer counseling services, including: couples therapy, depression/anxiety, grief, parent/child relationships, sexual abuse, spiritual issues, life transition, and more.

LifeSTAR is a national network that provides individual and couples therapy to people struggling with pornography and other compulsive sexual addictions. Tuscaloosa Christian Counseling is pleased to be an affiliate with this nationally recognized treatment program. Developed as a three-phase treatment plan, the program provides participants with understanding about compulsive sexual behaviors and its underlying issues, and teaches them how to begin the journey toward peace, hope and healing. For more details, you can look to the section entitled “About LifeSTAR.”

Donations

Through the generosity of others, Tuscaloosa Christian Counseling was founded in 2005 as a not-for-profit organization to provide counseling services for people of all socio-economic groups. As such counseling fees do not cover all of our expenses. We are able to offer high quality counseling to those in need because of the generosity of our Church Partners. We are also fortunate to count among our supporters some individual and corporate contributors.

You can make a difference in the life of another. Your contributions are regarded as tax-deductible by the IRS. We are a 501(c)3 organization.
